What can I expect during a Reiki treatment?
Treatments take place either seated or lying down, fully clothed, with shoes removed. The aim is to relax and enjoy the process, to optimise receiving the energy that is needed.
Reiki is unique to us all and can be a different experience each time we receive it. Some sensations that may be felt are heat and coolness throughout the body, tingling along the limbs, heightened emotions, aches at old injury sites, feeling peaceful, relaxed and calm.
How long are the treatments?
Treatment length will vary according to what is needed in the moment and can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours but is generally around 1 hour.
The first treatment includes a 10-15 minute free consultation and all treatments will include a pre and post treatment discussion. Allow 2 hours for the whole session although this can be reduced if necessary.
How many treatments will be needed?
The number of treatments will vary according to individual need, depending on what you are intending to achieve. This will be discussed and agreed during the initial consultation and adjusted according to your needs.
How much are the treatments?
In-person reiki treatments are £55 per session.
Distant reiki treatments given by video or phone are £35 per session.
This is where you will receive a reiki treatment via phone or video call in the convenience of your own home, at a pre-arranged time. Reiki energy is unaffected by distance or time, so the energy you receive would be as if you were physically present in the room with the practitioner. Ideally, arrange the session for a quiet time when you are likely to be undisturbed so that you can relax fully as you would for an in-person treatment.
A pay it forward option is also available where, if you wish, you can choose to overpay a small amount or a full treatment towards someone else’s session so that Reiki sessions are available for all who desire it, regardless of circumstances.
